I photographed baby John Andrew Turnbough a few weeks ago, right before I went to Florida, we did some of the good ol' normal shots and then shot a little concept. so here you go:

Leavin on a jet plane

I am so excited right now! We are leaving in the morning, really early, for Florida! We had an event tonight. We had planned on going mini-golfing, but storms were in the forecast, so we went to see Wall-E instead. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It was amazing, and nothing like I thought it would be, so you must see it!
The next thing I am excited about is this. There are these books I have been reading. I started reading them cause my students, all girls, were reading them. I thought they sounded so stupid, then I got my hands on one of the books from one of the 8th grade girls and I was hooked. I hate describing them to people because they sound so stupid, but I can't deny it...they are really good. The books I am talking about are the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer, and the reason I am excited is that the 4th and last book of the series came out last weekend, and I have it and get to read it on vacation. Ahhh. It is amazing that I have had time to read 3 700 page books and a few little ones during this whirlwind of a summer.
So, if you need something to fill free time...check out the twilight series, especially if you really like high school stories! ha ha!

I'm getting better!

Well, This week we were home! all week! I realized that I was sick of my furniture arrangement, so I changed it. It opened up the room a lot! I should probably post a photo or 2 of that! I will! but not in this one, cause I am not at home!
We got to hang out with some college friends this Saturday and Sunday, becuse we led worship together on Sunday. Which was really great! We had this awesome end of the summer youth meeting last night. 97 people came out for 2 hours to listen to the students share about their summer and to watch videos we made for all of the big events. (the four mentioned below) The families surprised us at the end with a "love offering" they took for us to spend on things that will help us relax on vacation...I won't say how much they gave us, but I will say that it would actually pay for the vacation. It was such an overwhelming night. It was the seniors last youth and it was just really moving. So we are a little overwhelmed today, but we are feeling pretty good. By the way, vacation is Thursday, and we will be out of the office for nearly 10 days. AHhh. so awesome. And I get to be with Josh, Michelle, Fred, and My Mom and Dad! and one of the days is my moms b-day! so fun! Well, I will post more later with some photos!

no excuses.

yeah well, what can i say, i have a crazy life. this summer has been a little on the extreme side. I am pretty sure that most people know that Andrew and I are full time youth directors. I have to say I never would know what a blessing this is if it wasn't for our summers. I am pretty sure I can coun't the number of days we have been home on my fingers and toes. If we were not blessed enough to do this together, we would definitley not see much of each other. I want to catch you up as much as possible, but don't worry, I will give you lots of eye candy so that you can see what we've been up to.

I will start in JUNE! in June we went to Panama City Beach, FL (my favorite place in the world) for camp. It was absolutley amazing! we had 7 students give thier lives to Christ. We took 24 students and 5 adults.

I just thought this was funny!

We were home for a week before we left to go to New Orleans and roofed a house. We spent a week there with 15 students and 6 adults. This trip was really cool. It was totally different from any other trips we have been on. We took a totally great group of students, but like none of them were friends first. we drove for 2 days there and 1 and few hours back.

home for 3 days (one of which was my 28th birthday) and next was Austin. We were able to get away for the 4th of july to visit the fam. This was like the most blessed weekend of my summer.

right when we returned to the good ole' state of MO, we went directly from the airport to work where we started our next week which was an in town mission trip where we built a ramp and worked in this lady's yard. I (and a bunch of students) got poison Ivy. That week ended on Thursday, and exactly one week later, on July 17th, we flew out to Guatemala.







and then we got back into town on Friday and my best friend Jodi had her baby on Monday...yesterday!

We leave again on the 7th for Florida for an actual vacation! I cannot wait to go on a trip where we don't have to bring liability release forms. I hope this helps you understand why I haven't been posting! Love to you all and I can't wait to hear from you!

I know it's been a while!

Hey everyone. So, in the case that you haven't realized, I am a part of an Art Group called Red Velvet. Red Velvet is comprised of 5 young women who love art, appreciate art and make art. We love to inspire and be inspired. This past weekend we all got together from differents parts of the US and talked about things to come and made a lot of really great stuff...and ate really great food. I tried to upload images yesterday but they failed and now I am on a computer that those images are not on! I am excited to tell you that I have a date tonight (with my husband) a date with the chiropractor tomorrow and lock-in tomorrow night another date with the chiropractor on Sat. Kelly Clarkson on Sat. Night! WOOO HOOOO! We have LUMY on Sunday and then Sunday afternoon we catch a plane to see MATT AND JODI!!!! I can't wait for Sunday!!!

So I am guarenteeing you some serious imagery coming up!!
