Christmas!

Okay, So here is the deal, Andrew and I will be traveling over the holidays, and lets just say that where we are, there is not much else. No phone reception, no high-speed internet...just us and the family! So I will try to post Tomorrow night, then I will be back with photos of the Baby (Fred) and the family. We just can't get a saturday of sunshine...and I love it!!!

Hello! I love Christmas Parties! It gives me an excuse to dress up!!!

I should mention that Andrew has lost 20lbs since July!

It is so un-believable, we have had 3 Saturdays in a row of Snow and icy-rain! It is amazing! It has been coming down all day today! It is 9:30p and has been snowing since about 12:00. The roads are bad, it is cold outside, I am actually cold, and I don't even care beacuse I love this weather!!!
Mike is up and he hung out with me and Andrew all day we ran some errands at about 2:00. This is what the roads were like then and here are some other photos from the day!

We went to Springfield a few weeks ago and got our hair done by, the amazing, Becca! She is my favorite hair do-er ever!! I love her and will never go to another! ever. done. she better not quit or I'm, screwed! So here is a photo of her cute little family.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

We got rid of a piece of furniture that was just...well...not us. We replaced it with this, and i really do think that it has made a huge difference!! I love it!

I love the weather! We are having what most people call terrible weather, but I love it. Everything has this beautiful glass like appearance! It is just gorgeous. I know, if it were worse and taking our power out, I wouldn't like it so much, but you know what...I do love it!

This Christmas!

Why is it so hard to find the "perfect" christmas gift. I must say that it is a blessing and a curse to be a "gift giver". I love to give gifts. I love it when someone opens up something that I have gotten them and is excited because they know that I actually put some thought into it. But I am so sad to report that this year, my life has been crazy and I haven't been so intentional to listen to what people want or need. So now, here I am, 3 weeks before the big celebration and no ideas about what to get. PLEASE LEAVE ME LINKS if you have any ideas!
the reason why this is a curse, is because, although i would be happy with nail polish as a gift, (i would say nothing, but i think I would actually be dissapointed if I didn't get anything) I would way rather give than recieve. So even though I am not wrapped up in the commerce of the Holidays for my own sake, I am officially wrapped up in it for the sake of others!!! what is wrong with me. Anyway, I am seriously excited the most, this year, to spend time with my family. My brother, my sister, my sweet little nephew and my husband. I can hardly wait to spend more than a frantic 2 days with them!
I am also wanting to find a way to bring Jesus deeper into the season. Andrew and I have talked about lighting an advent wreath together, but growing up baptist, I don't get the depth of yet, so I haven't made it of utmost importance.
I think it is so weird how being in the ministry, Jesus has become such a MAJOR piece of every bit of every day, I have started to realize that I just asume that people know that i am giving praise to God because of "what I do". Isn't that weird. I am thinking that I need to be more outward, even though my job and walk reflects my love for the Lord, maybe my words are less so.
This is a long e-mail full of random thoughts. Sorry, but let me ask you one more time!

Thanksgiving!

I Hope your Thanksgiving was as good as mine!


My entire family got together for the holidays, but not only did I get to hang out with them, I got to see Syd, and I got to meet Aislynn and I got to spend almost 2 days with my baby Nephew! I GOT THE JOB!

Well, it finally happened! I got the job! I am officially the Assistant to the Youth Director of Student Ministry. WHOO HOOO!! Say a prayer for me if you think about it! I am getting to go to Stl. with my in-laws to my parents house over these holidays. My brother and Michelle are going to be there with little lightning! I can't wait. I love that little bugger!!

How much fun did I have?

From the looks of it, it may seem that we didn't do much with seminars, but had more time to play, but I promise that is not true! We just made the most of our time. NYWC is so amazing! I feel totally rejuvinated to come home and jump back into the ministry!! We had so much fun and heard some amazing speakers! we got to spend a ton of time with our great friend Phil Dieke and we made a new friend, Stephen, see above pictures.

It is my favorite time of year! NATIONAL YOUTH WORKERS CONVENTION! you may be laughing, but I am certian that is only if you haven't been! I don't lie when I say that I look forward to this all year!!! I just wanted you to have a little update on my life! I will add some photos later, but i must warn you, it may be a few days!! I get to see many of my good friends at the convention and cant wait to share them with all of you (in photos!)

Life gets a little crazy sometimes.

well, I will start by saying that I actually made it down to Austin to see my Bro, Sis, and little, baby Frederik Lightning Welker. Maybe you know that the TX state sea shell is the "lightning Welk" if you did you could see that if you added an "er" then you would have Frederik. (just think about it!) I love him, by the way! He is maybe the most amazing thing I have ever seen and I hope you will think he is as cute as I do. Anyway, I was lucky enough to be on the "drag" in Austin right before a UT home game. Holy cow, I have never seen so much orange. Josh and I were both wearing green and we were walking against the crowd. I guess you could say we looked like outcasts!

Durring the week I was home after Austin, I got a promotion at work. (to me it is a promotion.) I have moved from the Communications department, to the (get this) Interim Full Time Assistant to the Youth Director. In "The Office" terms, I am Dwight and Andrew is Michael Scott. WE work together and we are having a blast. I love these students and I am so excited about what we, Andrew and I, as a team can do. YEAH!! anyway, it is just an interim position and I will be interviewing for the full time job. So I trained someone else for my job, had youth group on Sunday, and then flew straight out of town on Monday morning.
We spent a week in Panama City Beach (also known as my favorite place in the country) doing nothing but laying around and eating fresh seafood. It was wonderfull. I have all sorts of images from everything (except the job, cause that would be weird) and will be posting them up in the next few days. Love to all of you!

I am so sorry! I know that it has been forever since I have updated. I am terrible. I have been really busy, which then means that I have a ton of things to tell you! And pictures to show you! Keep your eye out, I will be adding all kinds of goodies soon!

Weight Watchers is amazing! some of you know that I did it last year, and lost a lot of weight. When I moved I stopped and gained bit of the wieght back! well thanks to my dear friend Jessie losing a ton of weight, I saw the urgency in life to get back into it.
I started and immediatley began losing and lost about 4 lbs. and have not lost anymore since 8/2. I had started running, and eating really healthy, but the weight would not move! so this week I added stairs into my routine and I just worked my self out. I went in this afternoon to see that I had lost 3.4 lb, making my total weight loss 16.6 lbs, and am the lightest I have been since highschool! Any way, I just want to lose 7 more lbs. and I thought I could use the accountability! Love you all!
